SG's Moom Health scores $2.7m in pre-Series A funding and other SE Asia deals

Moom Health, a Singapore-based women’s health supplement brand, has announced raising S$3.5 million (about $2.7 million) in a pre-Series A funding round anchored by Wipro Consumer Care Ventures.

The round was also backed by existing investor DSG Consumer Partners alongside Racer Venture and HPRY Holdings. Wipro Consumer Care Ventures is the venture arm of Wipro Consumer Care & Lighting.

The fresh funds will support Moom’s product development, team expansion, and regional growth, per the announcement. The company also plans to invest further in research, advocacy, and digital and retail expansion to enhance access to women’s health solutions across Asia.

Founded in 2021, the startup targets the health needs of Asian women, particularly PCOS, fertility, and postpartum recovery, through personalised supplement solutions. It has seen strong growth in Singapore, Malaysia, and Hong Kong.

Malaysian collectibles startup Hoopi secures funding and other SE Asia deals

Hoopi, a Malaysia-based online marketplace for the thriving collectibles and hobby industries, has announced raising an undisclosed amount in its first institutional funding round.

The fundraising was anchored by Creative Gorilla Capital, a Jakarta-based venture capital firm that focuses on early-stage consumer-facing businesses. Hoopi said the fresh funds will be used to expand its user base and services across Southeast Asia.

Hoopi, founded by gaming industry veterans, addresses authenticity and transparency issues in the fragmented Southeast Asian toy collectibles and trading cards market.

Its platform offers a consumer-to-consumer marketplace, auction-based trading, local card grading, and gamified experiences. Hoopi is also a strategic partner of premium toy collectible brand Robbi Art.

The platform currently boasts over 20,000 active users and more than 3,000 registered sellers. Currently operational in Malaysia and Singapore, it is set to expand into Indonesia in April 2025 and Thailand later this year.
