With the exception of China, where a $3.1b mega deal propped up deal value, startup fundraising was muted across Asia in Feb. In India, fundraising fell 25% MoM to $866m, while SE Asian startups raised $409m, down 44% from Jan. Deal volume, too, was down in both regions. Chinese startups raised $6.7b in Feb—up 23.1% MoM and the highest since Sept 2022—from 222 deals.
