Cooley adds capital markets partner in Singapore
Law firm Cooley has announced the appointment of Shashwat Tewary as a capital markets partner in its Singapore office, reinforcing its capabilities across Southeast Asia and India.
Tewary, who joins from Sidley Austin, brings over 15 years of experience advising on capital markets transactions, including IPOs, REIT listings, investment-grade and high-yield bonds, and liability management. Notably, he advised on the first Indian REIT IPO and the first infrastructure investment trust IPO in India.
Sonya Erickson, partner and global chair of Cooley’s business department, said the addition of Shashwat Tewary enhances the firm’s capabilities in India’s expanding capital markets and supports its continued growth in Singapore and Southeast Asia.
