Burger Singh raises $5.5m funding

Indian quick-service restaurant chain Burger Singh raised nearly $5.5 million (Rs 47.15 crore) in a new funding round, co-led by Negen Value Fund and Nine Rivers Capital. The round also included participation from Rhodium Trust and 19 additional investors, Entrackr reported.

The company’s board has passed a special resolution to issue 4,994 compulsory cumulative preference shares, each priced at Rs 94,430, to raise the aforementioned amount, the report said citing the company’s latest filings with the Registrar of Companies (RoC).

Both Negen Value Fund and Nine Rivers Capital invested Rs 12 crore each, while Rhodium Trust contributed Rs 8.5 crore. Turner Morrison and the Thapar Family Trust invested Rs 3.5 crore and Rs 2 crore, respectively. Individual backers such as Vikas Kapur, Nomita Kapur, Sarfaraz Singh, and Rohit Khattar also took part in the round.

The funds will be used to support operations, capital expenditure, expansion efforts, and general corporate activities.

GVF leads funding in DCG Tech

DCG Tech, a business-to-business platform specialising in packaging, warehousing solutions, and procurement, has secured Rs 15 crore in its pre-Series A funding round.

The round was led by GVF, which contributed Rs 10 crore, with additional backing from Auxano Capital and the company’s promoters, Entrackr reported.

The newly acquired capital will be used to accelerate the company’s growth trajectory, enhance its technological capabilities, and support global expansion efforts.

Founded in 2005 by Suresh Bansal and Subhasish Chakraborty, DCG Tech caters to the packaging requirements of MSMEs, e-commerce, and quick-commerce sectors by offering a comprehensive and cost-effective solution. Earlier, the Gurugram-headquartered startup had raised $3.31 million in seed funding from Venture Catalysts.

IPV leads funding in Parkobot

IoT-based parking startup Parkobot on Thursday announced that it has raised Rs 2.09 crore in its seed funding round led by Inflection Point Ventures (IPV).

The round also saw participation from HNIs, per a company statement.

The funds will be utilised to expand infrastructure, reach additional markets, strengthen the backend, and increase product portfolio. Currently in stealth mode, the startup claims to have already deployed high-traffic parking spots at key locations.

“Urban parking is a huge challenge facing today’s cities. Poor planning and lack of proper parking spaces lead to encroachment on roads, illegal parking and congestion. However, Parkobot is driving the change by bringing in technology and smart parking systems that provide real-time availability of parking spaces and making underutilised private parking spaces available to the public,” said Mitesh Shah, co-founder, IPV.
