Danantara invites Temasek to collaborate

Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto invited Singapore investment company Temasek Holdings to become a strategic partner for newly established sovereign wealth fund Danantara during a meeting with Singaporean Prime Minister Lawrence Wong at Parliament House in Singapore on Monday.

President Prabowo proposed collaboration between Danantara and Temasek in sustainable industries, particularly in the development of the Batam, Bintan, and Karimun industrial zones. Key areas of focus include low-carbon energy and essential infrastructure.

Danantara was officially launched by President Prabowo on February 24, 2025. Rosan Roeslani, Minister of Investment and Head of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM), was appointed Group CEO of Danantara. The institution serves as both a holding company for state-owned enterprises and the government’s investment vehicle.

INA appoints new CIOs

The Indonesia Investment Authority (INA) on Tuesday announced the appointment of Andry Setiawan and Christopher Ganis as new chief investment officers (CIOs), aiming to strengthen INA’s institutional capabilities and further its long-term investment mandate.

Setiawan and Ganis will be replacing Stefanus Ade Hadiwidjaja, who was recently appointed Managing Director of Investment at Danantara. Other former INA personnel joining Danantara include Arief Budiman, who is currently Managing Director of Finance.

Setiawan, previously INA’s managing director of investment, brings extensive experience in leading green energy and transformation initiatives. His contributions include INA’s inaugural renewable energy investments and the establishment of partnerships in energy transition and nature-based solutions. His leadership background also includes roles in the petrochemical, power generation, and asset management sectors.

Ganis, meanwhile, brings deep expertise in private credit and equity investments across Southeast Asia. His track record spans global asset management, private equity, and credit platforms. Ganis’s professional background includes experience in credit markets, corporate finance, and mergers and acquisitions, with a strong focus on Indonesia’s private capital landscape.
