Gojek-backed Pathao said to merge with Bangladeshi payments firm SureCash

Go-Jek President Andre Soelistyo, speaking at a DealStreetAsia event in Singapore, hinted that a move outside SE Asia might be in the cards. "For today, Southeast Asia" remains the focus, he said, but Go-Jek is "open-minded."

The massive downsizing comes amidst reports that the ride-sharing firm has terminated nearly three hundred mid to top-level employees during the last couple of weeks.
