People Digest: BharatPe makes top hires; IAN names Group CEO

BharatPe has appointed Rajesh C as Head of Finance and Himanshu Nazkani as Head of Investments. Separately, early-stage investing platform IAN Group has appointed industry veteran Chintan Thakkar as Group CEO.

Gurugram-based fintech firm BharatPe has appointed Rajesh C as Head of Finance and Himanshu Nazkani as Head of Investments, per an announcement on Wednesday.

Nazkani will drive BharatPe’s investment and insurance strategy, oversee strategic opportunities and build partnerships across mutual funds, digital gold, fixed deposits and insurance. He was earlier vice president – strategy at CarDekho Group.

As Head of Finance, Rajesh will lead the company’s finance function, treasury and taxation. Previously, he was senior vice-president – finance at SBI Card. He has also worked with ABN Amro-RBS and GE Capital.

“As BharatPe gears up for its next phase of growth, strengthening our leadership bench with seasoned professionals is vital. Rajesh’s deep financial expertise and proven track record in IPO readiness will be instrumental in ensuring a strong financial foundation as we scale,” said Nalin Negi, CEO of BharatPe.

IAN names Chintan Thakkar as Group CEO

Early-stage investing platform IAN Group has appointed industry veteran Chintan Thakkar as Group CEO.

The move comes as part of a broader strategy to augment the group and build it to fuel future growth. Thakkar will also provide critical guidance to the recently launched IAN Alpha Fund as a Senior Managing Partner, per a company statement.

Thakkar brings with him over three decades of experience in finance, governance, and strategic growth. He previously served as Group CFO & whole-time director at Info Edge India.
