India Deal Monitor: The Moms Co. raises $5m and more updates

Gurugram-based mother and baby care consumer goods startup The Moms Co. has raised $5 million in Series B funding round from its existing investors DSG Consumer Partners and Saama Capital and others, it announced on Tuesday.

The Moms Co. will use the funding proceeds to expand its product range, technology and offline presence. The startup is targeting to be a Rs 100-crore brand over the next 12-18 months, it said in a statement.

This is the third round of funding for The Moms Co., which was launched in March 2017. The startup had raised an undisclosed amount in angel funding in 2016, followed by a $1 million pre-Series A round led by DSG Consumer Partners and Saama Capital in 2017.

The Moms Co. creates, designs and sells toxin-free and natural products for pre, post-natal care and babies. It claims to be serving more than 500,000 customers across the country, and growing at a steady pace of 15% to 20% month-on-month.
