India’s short-form learning startup Seekho bags $28m Series B led by Bessemer

Bengaluru-based short-form learning platform Seekho has raised $28 million in a Series B funding round led by Bessemer Venture Partners, the company said on Wednesday.

Goodwater Capital and existing backers Lightspeed Venture Partners and Elevation Capital also participated in the round.

This is Seekho’s largest fundraising to date. Founded in 2020 by Rohit Choudhary, Keertay Agarwal and Yash Banwani, Seekho had earlier raised $8 million in a Series A round led by Lightspeed and $3 million from Elevation and others in March 2023.

Seekho provides bite-sized, vernacular learning videos of three to five minutes across topics such as business skills, digital literacy, and self-improvement. The company claims to have 25 million monthly active users, with quarterly growth of about 60%. It plans to use the fresh capital to introduce new content formats and build AI-driven learning solutions.

The company is positioning itself as a learning-focused alternative to entertainment-driven platforms like YouTube and Instagram, targeting India’s next wave of internet users. Its business model is tied to the country’s expanding subscription economy, which has grown to an estimated $2.5 billion, aided by the spread of UPI autopay.

For Bessemer, the deal extends a string of India bets this year. The US-headquartered venture firm, which manages $18 billion globally, closed a $350-million India-focused fund in March 2025 and has since backed Easebuzz and TransBnk. Its India portfolio already includes Ola, BigBasket, and Perfios.

“The trifecta of 800 million+ smartphone users in India, each of them spending 7-8 hours a day, and frictionless online payments means that almost all aspects of life have moved to digital platforms – from buying groceries to financial transactions and now, with Seekho, education as well,” Anant Vidur Puri, Partner at Bessemer Venture Partners, said.
