SEA Digest: SG's Wiz.AI, Thailand's Pride Health raise funding

Wiz.AI has announced the successful closing of its Series B funding round, while Pride Health has raised $300k in a pre-seed round.

Wiz.AI closes Series B funding

Wiz.AI, a Singapore-based voice artificial intelligence (AI) startup backed by Granite Asia, has announced the successful closing of its Series B funding round, raising tens of millions in US dollars.

This confirms DealStreetAsia’s report in October that the company has raised $12.1 million from new and existing shareholders.

The round was led by SMBC Asia Rising Fund, the corporate venture capital arm of Japan’s Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC). It also saw participation from new strategic investors including Beacon Venture Capital (the venture arm of Thailand’s Kasikorn Bank) and SMIC SG Holdings.

Existing investors, including Singtel Innov8 (the venture arm of Singtel Group) and Granite Asia, also deepened their commitment.

The company claims that since its inception in 2019, WIZ.AI has demonstrated a consistent trajectory of robust growth, with revenue surging by over 100% in the most recent 2024-25 period.

“SMBC Group has positioned AI at the core of its business transformation strategy to reimagine customer experience. We believe WIZ.AI’s human-like voicebot solution—capable of adapting to diverse local languages, regional nuances, and accents—will serve as a critical enabler in accelerating our transformation across the APAC region,” said Keiji Matsunaga, General Manager of the Digital Strategy Department at SMBC.

Pride Health raises pre-seed round

Pride Health, a Thailand-based company and Asia’s first LGBTQ+ digital healthcare platform, has raised $300,000 in a pre-seed round with A2D Ventures, Enterprise Singapore, First Move, and depa’s Digital Startup Fund (S2).

The funding will accelerate Pride Health’s regional expansion and technology development, bringing inclusive, stigma-free healthcare to LGBTQ+ communities across Asia.

Pride Health is Asia-Pacific’s first LGBTQ+ digital health platform, delivering stigma-free care through licensed clinicians, digital prescriptions, and AI-driven coaching.

The company claims that it has served over 1,800 users, offering tailored and inclusive care with a 54% repeat rate that reflects strong community trust.

A2D Ventures is Southeast Asia’s angel investing platform, angel syndicate, and early-stage venture capital firm. The firm invests in innovative and impactful companies across all sectors, with a focus on supporting entrepreneurs who are building the future of Southeast Asia.
