iSense Global bags strategic investment from DNAKE

Singapore’s smart city IoT provider iSense Global has received strategic investment from DNAKE (Xiamen) Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd., a publicly listed Chinese firm in smart telecom and building automation, according to an announcement on Monday.

The investment will help iSense’s expansion plans and lay the foundation for its long-term vision to get listed on the Nasdaq within the next five years. Beyond capital, iSense will transition its manufacturing process from third-party suppliers to DNAKE’s facilities.

Both companies will also co-develop next-generation IoT solutions in areas like healthcare, access control, security, and city-scale monitoring—combining DNAKE’s hardware and automation expertise with iSense’s proven track record in AI-driven analytics and massive IoT deployments.

“Partnering with DNAKE is a game-changer for iSense. Their manufacturing expertise and public market experience empower us to scale faster, expand internationally, and take on larger, more complex projects,” said Christopher Lee, CEO of iSense Global.

iSense has expanded its business beyond Singapore, including Thailand, Japan, and Malaysia. It has another initiative underway in the Philippines and Vietnam, and is planning to go to Indonesia, Australia, Europe, and the U.S.

Alodokter receives syndicate investment from AngelCentral

Indonesia’s healthtech firm Alodokter has announced a syndicate investment from an angel network in Singapore and Southeast Asia, AngelCentral.

Financial terms of the deal remain undisclosed.

“With over 20 million monthly users using Alodokter’s services and growing, my fellow angels and I feel optimistic about Alodokter’s future,” shared Huang Shao-Ning, syndicate lead of AngelCentral for Alodokter.

Angel investment syndication is when a group of angel investors pool their resources—money, expertise, networks—to invest together in a startup.

Alodokter provides a comprehensive digital health ecosystem, including telemedicine services, online appointment booking, trusted medical content, and e-pharmacy across Indonesia.

Its last fundraising was in June 2024 for $7.09 million from MDI Ventures, according to DealStreetAsia’s DATA VANTAGE. Alodokter has raised $65.54 million since its founding in 2014. Golden Gate Ventures, Nathanael Faibis, Asuransi Jiwa Sequis Life, and MDI Ventures are among the top shareholders.
