Indoor air quality solutions provider uHoo raises $3.7m
uHoo, a Singapore-based indoor environmental quality (IEQ) monitoring startup, has announced raising $3.7 million in a funding round anchored by Wavemaker Ventures and Menarco Development Corporation.
The funds will support uHoo’s expansion in the B2B segment and the development of advanced hardware and software solutions, per the announcement.
The round was also backed by Undivided Ventures, Raymond Rufino (CEO of Neo offices in the Philippines), Lighthouse Canton, and other existing shareholders.
The funding comes amid growing demand for sustainable and healthier buildings as businesses recognise the impact of indoor air quality (IAQ) on health and productivity.
uHoo’s flagship product, uHoo Aura, monitors up to 16 parameters, providing real-time insights to improve building operations and energy efficiency. Its technology integrates with existing systems, automating air conditioning, ventilation, and heating for healthier, more energy-efficient spaces.
In April last year, DealStreetAsia reported that uHoo issued shares worth $4.2 million to investors, including Wavemaker Partners, Menarco Development Corporation, and SEEDS Capital this week. The share allotment followed the close of a new Series A round co-led by Wavemaker Partners and the Philippines-based Menarco.
MDI invests in cybersecurity firm CYFIRMA
MDI Ventures, the corporate venture capital arm of Indonesian state-owned telecom firm Telkom, has invested an undisclosed amount in Singapore-based cybersecurity startup CYFIRMA.
CYFIRMA, which specialises in threat intelligence and external threat landscape management, will use the fresh funds to further expand in the region, particularly in Indonesia, while enhancing its R&D capabilities to counter advanced attacks.
Donald Wihardja, CEO of MDI Ventures, said Southeast Asia, including Indonesia, is facing increasingly complex cyber threats, driving the urgent need for advanced cybersecurity solutions.
“Through our investment in CYFIRMA, MDI Ventures is addressing these challenges by enabling the development and delivery of proactive and innovative solutions to protect organisations across the region from evolving cyber risks,” Wihardja said.
CYFIRMA is headquartered in Singapore with offices in Japan, India, the US, and EU.
