Chinese regulators urge automakers to resist price wars in EV sector

Three Chinese government departments jointly held a symposium with new energy vehicle enterprises on Wednesday, urging companies to resist disorderly price wars and promote fair competition in the rapidly growing electric vehicle market.

Representatives from 17 key automakers attended the meeting, which was convened by authorities from China’s industry ministry, state planner and market regulator, according to a statement from the industry ministry.

The departments will strengthen monitoring and law enforcement to help promotethe  healthy development of the sector, the statement added.
