Indian PE major TVS Capital Funds announced the promotion of Suraj Majee and Ravi Krishnan to the role of principal. Separately, in the startup space, quick commerce unicorn Zepto roped in Sneha Arora as its Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO).
TVS Capital announces key promotions
TVS Capital Funds, a growth private equity (PE) fund manager in India, has announced the promotion of Suraj Majee and Ravi Krishnan to the role of principal.
While Majee has been promoted from vice president to principal in the Investments team, Krishnan has been promoted from vice president to principal in the finance team.
Since joining TVS Capital Funds in 2016, Majee has played a key role in shaping the firm’s investment strategy, particularly in the financial services sector. Separately, Krishnan brings in operational rigour in managing fund finance, the firm said in the statement.
Founded around 18 years ago, TVS Capital Funds primarily focuses on the Indian market and manages approximately Rs 5,000 crore across Fund 3 and Fund 4. With over 35 partnerships and 28 successful exits, it ranks among the largest rupee capital funds in the country.
Zepto gets new CHRO
Zepto, the Indian quick commerce unicorn that raised $1.35 billion last year, roped in Sneha Arora as its Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), according to a report by The Economic Times.
Arora, who has 15 years of experience, has served stints at Simpl, Myntra, SAP, and Flipkart.
Her appointment comes approximately a year after the exit of Zepto’s previous HR head, Martin Dinesh Gomez, in September 2024.
Following Gomez’s exit, Zepto’s Chief Brand Officer, Chandan Mendiratta, assumed additional HR and operational responsibilities in the role of Chief Culture Officer.
Launched in 2021 by Aadit Palicha and Kaivalya Vohra, Zepto claims to sell over 25,000 products ranging from groceries to electronics, with a promise to deliver in 10 minutes. The company is said to operate over 550 dark stores and process more than 700,000 daily orders.
