Online trading platform IG Group has appointed Gavin Chia as CEO of IG Singapore and emerging markets, while global alternatives firm S64 has named Hui Xin Tay to its Asia distribution team.
IG Group names CEO of Singapore and emerging markets
Online trading platform IG Group has named Gavin Chia as chief executive officer of IG Singapore and emerging markets, effective Sept. 1, 2025, pending regulatory approval, the company said.
Chia, a veteran of Singapore’s brokerage industry, was the founding employee and former CEO of Moomoo Singapore, where he helped establish the platform as one of the country’s top brokerages within four years.
He will now oversee IG’s expansion into new markets and product categories across Asia.
IG said Chia’s experience in scaling businesses, working with regulators and exchanges, and building strategic partnerships positions him to lead its growth in Singapore and beyond.
Chia has previously held senior roles at UOB Kay Hian, Haitong International, and PhilipCapital.
S64 adds Hui Xin Tay to Asia distribution team
S64, the global alternatives fintech and solutions partner to the wealth management industry, has announced the appointment of Hui Xin Tay to its Asia distribution team.
Tay, based in Singapore, is tasked to strengthen relationships with private banks, wealth managers, asset managers, and private markets general partners in Asia, per the announcement.
She will also focus on expanding access to S64’s product manufacturing and technology solutions across the region.
Tay brings a decade of experience in delivering structured financial solutions into the Asia private wealth channel. She was most recently an executive director in Goldman Sachs’ global markets business and previously held senior roles at Leonteq.
S64 provides semi-liquid evergreen private markets funds and technology-enabled solutions to global general partners, asset managers, and private banks across Europe and Asia.
