bolttech appoints Ridhi Chaudhary to board of directors

Insurtech unicorn bolttech has appointed Ridhi Chaudhary, CIO of Dragon Fund by Liquidity and MUFG, to its board as a non-executive director.

This follows bolttech’s recent Series C funding led by Dragon Fund. The $100-million round last December valued the company at $2.1 billion.

“Ridhi’s diverse experience advising high-growth companies across fintech, health-tech, and other sectors will bring valuable insights to bolttech as we continue to scale. As the lead investor in our Series C funding round, Dragon Fund has been a strong supporter of the impact of bolttech’s work, reinforcing our commitment to reshaping the insurance industry through technology and innovation,” said Rob Schimek, Group Chief Executive Officer, bolttech.

Founded in 2020, bolttech operates an exchange that connects over 700 distribution partners with more than 230 insurance providers offering over 6,000 insurance products. The company has licences to operate throughout Asia, Europe, and 50 states in the US.

IdeaSpace names Alwyn Rosel as new executive director

IdeaSpace, the startup accelerator and early-stage venture investment arm of the MVP Group of Companies, has appointed Alwyn Rosel as the new executive director of IdeaSpace and QBO Innovation, succeeding Jay Fajardo.

With 13 years of industry experience, Rosel has been with QBO Innovation for the last four years, serving as the deputy director. She previously held senior positions at startup enablers AIM-Dado Banatao Incubator and UPSCALE Innovation Hub, as well as VXI Global.

Rosel will succeed Jay Fajardo, who was instrumental in streamlining the organisational structure and sharpening the strategic vision of IdeaSpace and QBO, defining the distinct roles of each entity for stakeholders and the broader startup ecosystem.

During his leadership, Fajardo established Ideaspace Ventures, reasserting the organisation’s position as a committed early-stage investor. In 2024, Ideaspace Ventures supported seven startups and achieved an average portfolio MOIC (Multiple on Invested Capital) of 1.5X over four years.
