India Digest: Head Digital Works to buy Deltatech Gaming; MobiKwik to acquire stake in Blostem Fintech

Head Digital Works, that owns online poker brand A23, is set to acquire Deltatech Gaming for Rs 491 crore. In a separate development, MobiKwik is buying another 3.39% stake in Blostem Fintech.

Head Digital Works to buy Deltatech Gaming

Casino giant Delta Corp is selling its gaming unit Deltatech Gaming to Head Digital Works that owns online poker brand A23. The cash-and-stock deal is valued at Rs 491 crore.

The deal is expected to close before June next year, after which Delta Corp will hold a 5.7% stake in Head Digital Works.

In June 2022, Delta Corp had filed for a Rs 550 crore IPO of Deltatech Gaming (fka Gaussian Networks) but held back the plan due to uncertainties related to the revised GST rates.

Deltatech Gaming runs gaming apps like Adda52, Adda52Games & Adda52Rummy.

MobiKwik to acquire 3.39% stake in Blostem Fintech

MobiKwik owner One MobiKwik Systems is buying another 3.39% stake in Blostem Fintech for Rs 1.49 crore, according to a company filing.

The investment is a part of MobiKwik’s earlier commitment to invest Rs 3 crore in Blostem’s equity shares in the B2B banking infrastructure company in two tranches.

The first tranche of Rs 1.5 crore was done in March 2024 for a 3.40% stake in Blostem.

MobiKwik is a publicly-listed fintech company that has over 172 million users, and more than 4.5 million merchants.
