Women’s wellness and hygiene brand Nua, cyber security firm Astra Security and battery technology firm Dreamfly Innovations have secured funding.
Nua raises $4m in pre-Series C
Women’s wellness and hygiene brand Nua on Thursday said it has raised Rs 35 crore ($4.1 million) in a pre-Series C round led by Mirabilis Investment Trust.
The round also saw participation from distinguished investors including Samir Singh, EVP – Asia, Colgate Palmolive & Former Chair of Unilever SE Asia, Shuchi Kothari, Head of DSP Family Office and SRF Limited.
The company has raised $21.5 million so far (including the current round) from investors including Nua’s early backer Lightbox VC, Kae Capital, Bollywood actor Deepika Padukone and former Unilever Global President Vindi Banga.
“The past 12 months have been exceptional for Nua. Not only have we turned profitable but we have also grown over 2.5x in revenue. We reached an important milestone by becoming profitable in Q2, crossed Rs. 100 crore net revenue ARR in Q3 and are now on track to reach Rs. 150 Cr net revenue ARR in the next quarter,” Nua CEO and co-founder Ravi Ramachandran said.
Dreamfly Innovations raises $1.4m in seed round
Dreamfly Innovations, a maker of high-power-density battery technology for drones, aviation, and aerospace, has secured $1.4 million in its seed funding round.
The funding round was led by Avaana Capital with participation from Sunicon Ventures among other existing investors.
The funds will be used to scale production capabilities, team expansion and accelerate research and development of its cutting-edge, sustainable, and fire-resistant battery solutions.
Some of its customers include Tata Advanced Systems, Larsen & Toubro, General Aeronautics and Neosky India.
Astra Security snags $2.7m
Cyber security firm Astra Security on Thursday said it has raised $2.7 million in a growth capital round led by Emergent Ventures, with participation from the Neon Fund, Better Capital, Blume Ventures, and PointOne Capital.
With this funding, Astra Security said it will double down its focus on using AI to give developers and security engineers the ability to build security detections.
“The cybercrime landscape is becoming increasingly complex with AI-based attacks,” said Astra Security co-founder and CEO Shikhil Sharma.
Some of Astra Security’s clients include Loom, HackerRank, ITC, Olx Autos, Mamaearth, Muthoot Finance, Bonusly Singapore Trade Exchange, Oscilar, University of Cambridge, CompTIA, and Prime Healthcare.
