Sinar Mas Land’s LLV invests in Bumame, TWO Inc
Living Lab Ventures (LLV), the corporate venture capital arm of Sinar Mas Land, has invested in Indonesian healthcare company Bumame and Japanese wellness company TWO Inc through its Japan Thematic Fund.
LLV and Spiral Ventures are co-general partners of the fund, which focuses on investments linking Japanese technology and businesses with opportunities in Indonesia and Southeast Asia. No figures were divulged for the deals.
The investments give the fund exposure to healthcare and wellness businesses at different points in the consumer health chain, according to LLV.
Bumame operates healthcare services in Indonesia, while TWO Inc is a Japanese company focused on wellness. The fund said the investments are intended to support cross-border collaboration, including access to strategic networks, corporate partnerships and potential expansion opportunities in Indonesia and Southeast Asia.
Bayu Seto, partner at LLV and executive manager of the Japan Thematic Fund, said the fund was set up to connect Japanese capabilities and innovation with growth opportunities in Indonesia.
“The investments in Bumame and TWO Inc. are part of the fund’s broader strategy of supporting companies that can contribute to a more preventive, personalised and integrated healthcare ecosystem,” he said.
Emtek’s Vidio partners with ReelShort
Indonesia’s OTT platform Vidio has partnered with short-form drama platform ReelShort to bring hundreds of titles to its Indonesian
streaming service from early September.
The deal will make ReelShort content available through a dedicated Short Drama section on Vidio. The titles will be accessible to subscribers on the TV Extra, Platinum, Platinum Extra and Ultimate packages.
The partnership was brokered by AR Global Media Network, which represents ReelShort for distribution partnerships in Southeast Asia. The deal marks ReelShort’s first partnership in Indonesia, following partnerships with AIS in Thailand and Globe in the Philippines.
More than 200 titles will be dubbed in Indonesian, while the two companies also plan to co-produce short drama series with Indonesian production houses. The planned productions will be released on both platforms, according to its press release.
The deal comes as short-form drama gains ground in Indonesia. Data from Media Partners Asia cited in the release showed Indonesia accounted for 39% of short-form drama consumption in Asia-Pacific. ReelShort had an estimated 29% share of global short-form drama revenue, according to the same source.
For ReelShort, the partnership provides a local distribution channel while giving it access to Indonesian production partners and talent. Its owner, Crazy Maple Studio, said the companies plan to develop original stories with Indonesian partners.
Vidio said its Short Drama catalogue has been available since last year. The company had 5.8 million paid subscribers across Southeast Asia in the second quarter of 2026.
