Indonesian tech giant PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk announced major leadership changes on Wednesday, following shareholder approval at its annual and extraordinary general meeting, including a board reshuffle with five new directors and a top-level management transition.
Catherine Hindra Sutjahyo, who previously served as Director and President of GoTo’s on-demand services unit, has been promoted to Vice President Director and Deputy CEO. She replaces Thomas Husted and now holds one of the most senior positions within the company.
Hans Patuwo will take on an expanded role as President of on-demand services while continuing to serve as Director and Group Chief Operating Officer. In addition to overseeing GoTo Financial, he will lead efforts to integrate operations and unlock synergies across business units.
The company also announced the appointment of five new directors, all of whom were promoted from within the GoTo Group. Monica Lynn Mulyanto has been named Director and Chief People Officer; RA Koesoemohadiani steps in as Director of Legal and Group Corporate Secretary; Ade Mulyana now serves as Director of Public Affairs and Communications; Wuzhen (William) Xiong has been appointed Director and Chief Technology Officer; while Sudhanshu Raheja has been named Director and President of GoTo Financial.
“These appointments reflect GoTo’s focus on operational excellence, internal succession, and strategic execution across key areas of the business,” said GoTo CEO Patrick Walujo in a statement. “We are grateful for the support of our shareholders and excited to welcome new board members whose insights and experience will guide us through our next phase of growth.”
In addition to the leadership updates, shareholders approved a new share buyback programme of up to $200 million. They also greenlit the proposed use of treasury shares to support employee and management stock option programmes as part of a broader capital management strategy.
Following the meeting, the company’s updated board of commissioners is now led by President Commissioner Agus DW Martowardojo, alongside commissioners Winato Kartono, Wishnutama Kusubandio, and Pablo Malay. The independent commissioners are John A Prasetio, Dirk Van den Berghe, and Marjorie Tiu Lao.
The board of directors is now composed of President Director Patrick Walujo, Vice President Director Catherine Hindra Sutjahyo, and directors Simon Tak Leung Ho, Hans Patuwo, Monica Lynn Mulyanto, R.A. Koesoemohadiani, Ade Mulyana, Wuzhen (William) Xiong, and Sudhanshu Raheja.
