Temasek-backed GenZero has led BeZero Carbon’s $32-million Series C round, while W Capital Markets Pte Ltd said it has recently raised Series B funding.
BeZero Carbon raises $32m in Series C round
Singapore-based decarbonisation-focused investment firm GenZero has led the $32-million Series C funding round of global carbon ratings agency BeZero Carbon, according to a release on Thursday.
The round saw the participation of the Japan Airlines and Translink Innovation Fund. Existing investors, including EDF Pulse Ventures, Hitachi Ventures, Illuminate Financial, Intercontinental Exchange (ICE), Molten Ventures, Qima, and Quantum Innovation Fund, also re-upped in the round.
Founded in 2020, London-headquartered BeZero Carbon offers independent, risk-based, and project-level carbon ratings and risk tools that are essential for businesses to make investment decisions, with subsidiaries in New York and Singapore. The news comes over a year after BeZero raised $50 million in its Series B round in November 2022.
W Capital Markets completes Series B round
Singapore-based investment banking services provider W Capital Markets Pte Ltd said on Thursday that the firm has recently sealed its Series B funding round, without disclosing the investor details.
Founded in July 2018 by veteran M&A investment banker Wayne Lee, W Capital Markets holds a capital market services (CMS) licence in Singapore. The firm also serves as an accredited SGX Mainboard initial public offering (IPO) issue manager and Catalist Continuing Sponsor authorised by the Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Limited (SGX-ST).
IPO issue manager helps prepare an issuer for new listing on the Singapore Exchange’s Mainboard, while Catalist Continuing Sponsor conducts activities relating to sponsorship of issuers who are already listed on the Singapore Exchange’s Catalist board.
