Singapore’s Omni HR acquires software firm MajuHR

People Intelligence Singapore Pte Ltd, which operates as Omni HR, has acquired Singapore-based HR software company MajuHR for an undisclosed amount.

The deal combines Omni HR’s cloud-based HR and payroll solutions across 15 Asian markets with MajuHR’s chat-native platform, which allows employees to request time off or check payslips through WhatsApp messages, per the announcement.

Omni HR, founded in 2021, secured $7.4 million in 2024 and has raised $9.8 million to date from investors including Picus Capital and Alpha JWC Ventures.

MajuHR pioneered omnichannel HR software in Southeast Asia, targeting how Asian teams communicate through messaging apps. The acquisition integrates MajuHR’s chat-native capabilities with Omni’s multi-country platform.

The transaction reflects growing demand in Asia’s $6.4 billion HR software market for platforms combining automation with regional compliance expertise, according to the announcement.

Banking Circle completes acquisition of Australia’s ASL

Luxembourg-based payments bank Banking Circle has completed its acquisition of Australian Settlements Limited (ASL), an authorised deposit-taking institution. Financial terms were not disclosed.

The acquisition integrates ASL’s domestic banking license and local payments experience with Banking Circle’s cross-border payments capabilities to create an integrated platform serving Australian and global financial institutions, per the announcement.

Banking Circle established its Australian presence in 2023 through BC Payments Australia. The company was previously allied with ASL before pursuing the acquisition.
