C2i Semiconductors has raised $15 million in a Series A round led by Peak XV Partners, with participation from Yali Deeptech & TDK Ventures.

Established in 2024, the Bengaluru-based startup develops power management technology for new-age AI data centres and cloud computing systems.

“AI is fundamentally reshaping how data centres are designed and built, and power delivery has emerged as one of the most critical constraints to scaling infrastructure,” Ram Anant, co-founder and CEO of C2i Semiconductors, said in a media statement.

“This funding will enable us to accelerate the development of next-generation, high-density, ultra-reliable system-level power delivery solutions,” he added.

As AI workloads increase, power delivery has become a key challenge for modern data centres. C2i is addressing this by redesigning power systems from the grid to the chip, aiming to support higher power density, simplify design, and improve reliability for large-scale AI infrastructure.

“Power has become a major bottleneck in scaling AI. Addressing this challenge requires deep expertise across hardware and systems,” said Rajan Anandan, Managing Director at Peak XV Partners, adding that the company’s approach “to power management can significantly extend GPU longevity and unlock billions of dollars in savings for the industry”.

Peak XV Partners, formerly Sequoia Capital India & SEA, invests across India and Southeast Asia. The firm manages over $10 billion in capital across 16 funds and has invested in over 400 companies.

The portfolio has seen over 35 IPOs and several successful M&As to date.
