PixVerse, an AI video creation platform developed by Beijing-based startup AIsphere, has raised $60 million in a Series B funding round led by Alibaba, with participation from early-stage VC firm Antler.
The fresh capital will support global expansion and continued R&D in generative video tools, according to an announcement on Wednesday.
Founded in April 2023 by former Microsoft Research Asia and ByteDance executive Wang Changhu, AIsphere launched PixVerse for creators globally in January 2024. The platform has since attracted over 100 million users across 175+ countries, positioning it among the fastest-growing AI consumer applications globally.
PixVerse enables users, from everyday creators to professional marketers, to generate cinematic-quality videos from text, images, or video clips with minimal input. Its most recent model, PixVerse V5, significantly improves motion quality, visual consistency, and prompt accuracy while maintaining high generation speed. V5 was ranked first in image-to-video and second in text-to-video by benchmarking firm Artificial Analysis.
The company previously secured over $43 million across Series A2 to A4 rounds in late 2024, backed by Ant Group, Lighthouse Capital, CAS Investment, and the Beijing Artificial Intelligence Industry Investment Fund. An additional Series A round closed in March 2025, led by Eminence Ventures, bringing total Series A funding to over $55 million.
Since launch, PixVerse users have generated over 800 million videos. Its viral “Venom Effect” template alone has surpassed one billion social views. The platform has pioneered innovations like the first 4K AI video model and near real-time generation. Initially focused on entertainment, PixVerse is now expanding into advertising, education, gaming, and e-commerce.
