Lok Capital co-leads $5m funding in cloth diaper brand SuperBottoms and other India deals

Mother and baby care brand SuperBottoms has raised $5 million in its Series A1 funding round led by Lok Capital and Sharrp Ventures, per an announcement.

The financing also saw the participation of DSG Consumer Partners and Saama Capital, the startup said in a statement. The funding will be used to expand product categories and boost offline presence.

“With the funds raised, we aim to drive initiatives that spread awareness about cloth diapering to a wider audience throughout the country,” said SuperBottoms founder Pallavi Utagi.

Founded in 2016, SuperBottoms’ flagship product SuperBottoms UNO is an organic reusable diaper that can stay dry all night.

In July, the startup raised an undisclosed amount of angel funding from Indian film actor Alia Bhatt. The startup’s total funding now stands at $11 million, according to data firm Tracxn.
