HrdWyr, a global fabless semiconductor product company, has raised $13 million in Series A funding led by Ideaspring Capital, with participation from Singularity AMC, Avatar Growth Capital, and Persistent Systems.

Founded by Ramamurthy Sivakumar in 2023, HrdWyr develops AI-native semiconductor chips designed for edge computing applications.

The funding will be used to accelerate the development of its AI-native System-on-Chip (AISoC) products and broaden customer engagements across global markets.

“The real power of AI will be unlocked as we enter the era of Physical AI, where advanced intelligence seamlessly integrates with real-world systems,” said Ramamurthy Sivakumar, founder and CEO at HrdWyr.

“This inflection point demands a fundamental rethinking of how computing systems are conceived, architected, and deployed.”

Ideaspring Capital, founded in 2016 and based in Bengaluru, invests in early-stage Indian startups focused on global markets. It has backed 34 companies across sectors, including semiconductors, AI, biotech, life sciences, defence technology, and quantum computing, with portfolio companies such as Accelequant, Ahammune Biosciences, and Ambee.

AI continues to attract strong venture funding across sectors, including enterprise software, healthcare, semiconductors, and automation.

Other recent deals in the space include AI-native procurement platform Aerchain, which raised $13 million in a Series A round led by Pavestone VC in March.
