Hong Kong Investment Corporation will post a double-digit internal rate of return since its inception in 2022 when it releases its annual report, CEO Clara Chan said at the Reuters Next Asia conference in Singapore on Thursday.

She added that the HKIC also measures itself by what it calls a “capital multiplier ratio”. “For every dollar we invested, we were able to bring in at least $8 of international capital,” she said.

HKIC was established in 2022 as Hong Kong’s patient capital institution, wholly owned by the Hong Kong government, according to its official website. Patient capital refers to long-term money that can stay invested through market cycles.
