ESR has appointed Dalmar Sheikh as Chief Executive Officer, ESR Data Centres, while DSP Asset Managers (DSPAM) has appointed Komal Narang as head of distribution, succeeding Usha Nair, who is retiring from the firm.
ESR appoints CEO for data centres business
ESR has appointed Dalmar Sheikh as Chief Executive Officer, ESR Data Centres, effective September 1, 2026.
Based in Singapore, Sheikh will lead ESR’s Data Centres business, with responsibility for its strategy, performance and next phase of growth. He will oversee the continued expansion of ESR’s digital infrastructure platform to meet increasing demand from hyperscalers and enterprise customers in Asia-Pacific, ESR said in a statement.
ESR is a real asset owner and manager focused on logistics real estate, and energy infrastructure. Its data centres platform has a pipeline of over 3.2 GW across major APAC markets, including Japan, South Korea and Australia. The company has identified data centres as a key growth pillar, given the growing adoption of cloud computing, AI and other digital technologies.
Sheikh, formerly the COO of CtrlS Datacenters, brings more than 20 years of experience across data centres, digital infrastructure and technology. He has held senior leadership positions at DataSphere Advisory, Actis and Amazon Web Services.
DSP Asset Managers names new head of distribution
Mumbai-based DSP Asset Managers (DSPAM) has appointed Komal Narang as head of distribution, succeeding Usha Nair, who is retiring from the firm. Narang will lead DSPAM’s distribution strategy across channels, strategic alliances and distribution marketing, with a focus on strengthening relationships with distribution partners and expanding access to its investment products across India.
She joins DSPAM from JioBlackRock Mutual Fund, where she served as chief client officer and led sales, marketing and digital initiatives.
Before JioBlackRock, she spent over a decade at ICICI Prudential Asset Management, holding senior roles in customer engagement and business development. She previously worked at ICICI Prudential Life Insurance, Kotak Life Insurance and Indiabulls. DSPAM manages money for more than 6.5 million investors, including individuals, businesses, corporations, trusts and foreign institutions.
