India: ValueQuest’s Tristar Fund invests $32m in TASE Global

ValueQuest’s Tristar Fund on Friday announced that it is investing nearly $32 million (Rs 300 crore) in Chennai-based Trusted Aerospace & Engineering (TASE Global), a precision engineering and manufacturing platform serving global original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and Tier-1 suppliers.

The investment marks the fourth portfolio company for Tristar Fund, which has secured commitments of over Rs 2,100 crore within 15 months of its first close.

“ValueQuest’s partnership will support our next phase of growth as we expand capacity, integrate our US operations and pursue larger OEM programmes. We value its strategic perspective and focus on institutionalisation as we build TASE Global into a trusted partner for complex, high-value manufacturing across aerospace, medical technology and semiconductors,” said Shankar Raman Vaidyanathan, Founder, Chairman and CEO, TASE Global.

TASE Global operates manufacturing facilities across India and the US, offering capabilities in high-precision machining, complex component manufacturing, sheet-metal fabrication, specialised processes and precision assemblies.

The company serves customers across the medical and analytical instrumentation, aerospace, defence and industrial sectors. Its clientele includes Roche, PerkinElmer, Honeywell, Collins Aerospace, GE and Eaton.

Founded in 2010, Mumbai-based ValueQuest Investment Advisors manages assets worth approximately Rs 32,304 crore. Its private equity funds, housed under Quest4Value Investment Managers LLP, have assets under management of over Rs 6,500 crore.

Spark Capital acted as the exclusive financial advisor to TASE Global on the transaction.
