TPG-backed One Aged Care (OAC) on Monday announced the acquisition of Active Global Caregivers, confirming an earlier DealStreetAsia report.
Active Global provides home and community-based care services in Singapore and Hong Kong. The acquisition expands Singapore-based OAC’s service offerings as it seeks to build an integrated regional platform catering to the needs of an ageing population.
DealStreetAsia had reported in an earlier story that TPG was in talks to acquire Active Global, with the transaction potentially valuing the business at $6-100 million, citing people familiar with the matter. The sale process was being run by boutique investment bank Pickering Pacific.
The companies did not disclose the financial terms of the transaction in Monday’s announcement.
Founded in 2012 by Yorelle Kalika, Active Global provides home-care and nursing services across Singapore, Hong Kong and Shanghai. Its acquisition by OAC will broaden the platform’s reach beyond residential care into home and community-based services.
“The acquisition of Active Global advances our vision of building a truly regional healthcare platform that supports seniors and their families with a broader range of care options,” Richard Seow, Chairman of One Aged Care, said in the announcement.
OAC was established in March 2026 by TPG, bringing together ECON Healthcare, Orange Valley Nursing Homes and Ambulance Medical Service (AMS) under a single holding structure. TPG acquired Singapore-listed ECON Healthcare last year before combining it with the other businesses to build the platform.
The group currently operates 15 nursing home facilities with more than 2,400 beds across Singapore and Malaysia, alongside a fleet of more than 50 ambulances and medical transport vehicles. Its portfolio businesses have collectively served more than 220,000 seniors, according to the announcement.
OAC is preparing to open four additional nursing homes over the next year, which would increase its total capacity to more than 3,800 beds.
The acquisition of Active Global adds a further layer to the platform’s care offerings, spanning residential nursing care, senior day care, rehabilitation, emergency medical support, transport and home-based services.
“Our purpose is to advance the quality of care and truly honour life,” Ong Hui Ming, group chief executive officer of One Aged Care, said. Active Global, she added, strengthens an important part of the group’s care continuum by complementing its existing capabilities in residential nursing care, rehabilitation and medical transport.
The acquisition comes amid continued investor interest in Asia’s fragmented eldercare market, where ageing populations and rising demand for long-term care have encouraged consolidation around larger, integrated service providers.
Other recent transactions in the sector include India-focused investor InvAscent’s acquisition of a minority stake in Geri Care Health Services, an integrated senior-care provider, for Rs 110 crore last year. Japan-focused buyout firm MBK Partners has also agreed to sell elderly-care operator Japan Well-being to Advent International.
For Active Global, joining OAC is expected to provide additional resources to expand its services while maintaining its focus on home-based care.
“Our mission has always been to make professional home care accessible and affordable,” Steven Chiu, group CEO of Active Global, said. “As part of the OAC group, we will have additional resources to strengthen our services while remaining focused on the people who rely on us.”
OAC said it would continue investing in its care capabilities and service models as it expands across the region, with a focus on improving access to care and supporting seniors’ wellbeing as they age.
