The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) said on Tuesday it would list 28 new depositary receipts linked to stocks and ETFs from Asia, the U.S. and Europe, as the bourse races to match its Asian rivals in giving local investors easier access to global blue chips.

The new series spans “future-oriented” industry sectors, including semiconductors, electronics, artificial intelligence, clean energy, infrastructure, and aerospace, SET said.

Trading in the new instruments, issued by state-controlled lender Krung Thai Bank, will commence on Wednesday.

The Asia-based names to be introduced include Chinese chip-equipment maker Advanced Micro-Fabrication Equipment Inc and Hua Hong Grace Semiconductor.

The lineup also includes Nasdaq and NYSE heavyweights Dell, Intel and Palantir, alongside Europe’s Airbus.

The push mirrors a broader trend across regional exchanges seeking to offer local investors easier access to global blue-chip stocks. In July, the Singapore Exchange also said it would introduce depositary receipts for Elon Musk’s SpaceX, ride-hailing firm Grab, and tech conglomerate Sea.

The move comes just days after the bourse announced it would revise its listing criteria to attract new economy and foreign companies.
