Asaya raises $9.2m funding

Skincare brand Asaya has raised nearly $9.2 million (Rs 88 crore) in its Series A funding round, valuing the company at Rs 400 crore, according to an announcement.

The latest valuation represents a threefold increase from its previous level, driven by a 16x growth in revenue, the company said.

The round saw participation from RPSG Capital, represented by Abhishek Goenka and Sambit Dash; OTP Ventures (Suhail Sameer, Kunal Suri and Saurabh Vashishtha); Huddle Ventures (Ishaan Khosla and Sanil Sachar); Hyperscale Ventures (Suyash Saraf and Anisha Saraf); and 72 Ventures (Sanjay Nayar and Falguni Nayar).

“This Series A tells us we’re on the right path: now variable contribution level profitable and targeting Rs 200 crore in ARR within 18 months,” said Neeraj Biyani, co-founder of Asaya. “We’ll be directing almost a fifth of the funding towards R&D, with the rest split across product-line expansion and geographic and channel growth.”

Asaya’s portfolio spans the full hyperpigmentation regimen, including a cleanser, serum, spot treatments, moisturisers and sunscreens. The brand sells through its website and India’s major e-commerce and quick-commerce platforms.

Asaya also plans to double its team in the coming months to support this growth.

Endiya leads funding in WATER

WATER, a physical AI company building adaptive intelligent surfaces, on Monday announced that it has raised $2.5 million in a funding round led by Endiya Partners, an early-stage venture capital firm focused on deep tech, enterprise AI, and healthcare and life sciences.

The round saw participation from Pullela Gopichand (Chief National Badminton Coach, India), Rohit Chennamaneni (Co-Founder, Darwinbox) and Nandan Reddy (Co-Founder, Swiggy), among other angel investors, the Hyderabad-based company said in a statement.

Founded by Teja Vinukollu and Haneesh Mourya Desu, WATER develops adaptive intelligent surfaces designed around how the human body interacts with its physical environment.

The funding will be used to further validate WATER’s technology across different products and users. The company is also exploring potential applications of its adaptive surface technology in sectors such as automotive and aviation.

WATER is developing adaptive surfaces designed to respond to how the human body moves and rests. Its product portfolio includes FLOW, an adaptive chair focused on posture, movement and load during sitting, and CAMA, an adaptive bed designed around sleep, recovery and respiration.

Both products are powered by the company’s shared foundational model, VORTEX, which is designed to sense and respond to the body in real time.
