Dubai-based AI-driven e-commerce platform qeen.ai has raised $10 million in seed funding, led by Prosus Ventures, according to the company’s statement on Tuesday.

The round also saw participation from existing investors including Wamda Capital, 10x Founders, and Dara Holdings. This latest investment brings qeen.ai’s total funding to $12 million.

Aditum, Phaze Ventures, Jabbar Group, Eureka460 Partners, and Sat Capital are among the investors that have backed the startup since its early days.

qeen.ai is a GenAI native platform that provides autonomous AI agents for e-commerce businesses of all sizes. Its AI technology enables fully autonomous AI agents to streamline e-commerce operations from content generation to marketing, and conversational sales.

With this new funding, qeen.ai aims to scale its AI platform, expand its team, and extend its market reach.

The startup was founded in May 2023 in Dubai by former Google and DeepMind colleagues Morteza Ibrahimi, Ahmad Khwileh, and Dina Alsamhan.

The global e-commerce market is expanding rapidly, driven by evolving consumer behaviours, improved digital payment solutions, and enhanced logistics networks. In the MENA region, the market is expected to reach $50 billion by 2025, with Saudi Arabia and the UAE leading this growth.

qeen.ai’s AI technology claims to help businesses optimise operations, enhance customer engagement, and unlock new revenue streams in an increasingly competitive landscape.

Since launching its Dynamic Content AI agent in Q2 2024, qeen.ai has already served over 15 million users, generated more than 1 million product descriptions, and helped merchants increase sales by 30%. It operates in the UAE and Jordan, employing a team of over 25 professionals.

Prosus Ventures oversees its portfolio across India, Southeast Asia, Europe and the Americas in sectors like e-commerce, mobility and logistics, fintech and blockchain, agritech, sustainability, SaaS and B2B.
