Navi Limited, the fintech company led by Flipkart founder Sachin Bansal, is close to raising $100 million from Dutch technology investor Prosus in its first institutional funding round.

The investment will give Navi fresh capital as it expands its lending and other financial services businesses in India.

“Beyond the capital, we value Prosus’s global perspective, long-term orientation and experience in scaling technology businesses, and look forward to partnering with them as we continue our growth journey,” said Sachin Bansal, Founder & Executive Chairman, Navi Group, in a statement.

Bansal’s association with Prosus is not new, as its parent firm Naspers was an investor in Flipkart before the e-commerce firm was acquired by US retail giant Walmart in 2018. Bansal founded Navi after that.

Prosus is a major technology investor with investments across India and other emerging markets, and backs companies in areas including fintech, e-commerce and AI. In India, its investments include food delivery firm Swiggy and social e-commerce startup Meesho, among others.

“We are excited about our partnership with Navi, a business that is demonstrating all the qualities we look for while investing – a large base of loyal users, a platform play with multiple lines of business, a technology-first approach to problem solving and a relentless focus on delivering superior consumer experience,” said Ashutosh Sharma, Head of Prosus India Investments and M&A.

Established in 2018, Navi offers financial services including loans, insurance, mutual funds and UPI payments. In the media statement issued today, the company said it is entering its next phase of growth across businesses.

In FY26, Navi UPI remained India’s fourth-largest UPI app, while Navi Finserv’s assets under management crossed Rs 130 billion. The group also reported consolidated profit in the fourth quarter of FY26.

This transaction is pending approval from the Indian competition watchdog, CCI.
