Natasha Malpani has launched Boundless Ventures – a $23-million (Rs 200 crore) early-stage venture capital fund, while Nikhil Kamath has invested nearly $15.7 million in Goldi Solar.
Boundless to invest in AI startups
Natasha Malpani, former venture partner at Kae Capital, on Monday announced the launch of Boundless Ventures – a $23-million (Rs 200 crore) early-stage venture capital fund focused on backing AI startups in India.
Boundless will invest in pre-seed and seed-stage startups across consumer AI, AI infrastructure, agent tooling to vertical AI applications in sectors like healthcare and logistics, and make-in-India hardware and deep tech, per a company statement.
The fund has already made six investments including SuperHealth, Armatrix, Piersight, Knot, and two stealth companies in the AI infra and consumer applications’ space.
“We’re at an inflection point where AI is moving from experiments to infrastructure, and the next decade will be defined by the teams who can turn raw capability into enduring systems and categories,” said Malpani.
“India has a once-in-a-generation advantage: the talent density, the digital rails, and the ambition to build companies that can lead globally from day one. But technology alone isn’t enough. Science builds the edge, story makes it stick. Founders who can marry technical depth with cultural fluency will be the ones who set the terms of the next wave. Boundless exists to back those founders before the world catches on.”
Kamath invests $16m in Goldi Solar
Nikhil Kamath, co-founder of investment platform Zerodha, has invested nearly $15.7 million (Rs 137.5 crore) in Goldi Solar, a solar photovoltaic (PV) module manufacturing company.
Surat-based Goldi Solar plans to use the funding proceeds to expand its production capacity.
Founded in 2011 by Ishverbhai Dholakia, Goldi Solar manufactures solar PV modules. Over the past 12 months, Goldi Solar has nearly tripled its solar PV module manufacturing capacity from 3 gigawatts (GW) to 14.7 GW.
The company has a significant presence in India and exports to over 20 countries.
