Khazanah's Jelawang Capital names new CEO

Howard Soh, Jelawang Capital's incoming CEO

Malaysian national fund-of-funds Jelawang Capital has named a new Chief Executive Officer, Howard Soh, with effect from October 1, 2026, the firm said in a statement.

Soh joins Jelawang Capital from LemmaTree, a Singapore-based venture builder founded by Temasek, where he served as Group Chief Investment Officer.

Soh was formerly CEO of Sea Malaysia, and Director, Investments at Ekuinas, a Malaysian state-owned private equity firm. He has also founded and led early Malaysian operations at Lazada, Zalora and Foodpanda.

Soh’s appointment comes more than a year after Jelawang Capital’s former CEO Bryan Lim stepped down from Khazanah Nasional, the Malaysian sovereign wealth fund.

Jelawang Capital is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Khazanah. It is seeded with a 1-billion-ringgit commitment from Khazanah, through which it is funding dedicated programmes for emerging and regional venture capital managers.
